Sugar and Flour Interior

Casera Cafe and Bakery (est. 2024) is located in the Harbor District of Milwaukee.  Sugar & Flour Bakery Cafe (est 2009) is located in Downtown Greendale.  Both locations serve casual breakfast and lunch alongside housemade bakery, breakfast pastries and breads.   Coffee and teas are from Valentine and Rishi, and we've partnered with many local farmers and producers to bring the best of Wisconsin into our kitchens.

About us...

Karen Herrera, Co-owner
Karen attended cooking school in Minneapolis MN but is a self taught baker.  She worked in a number of different bakeries and restaurants in Florida, New York and Minnesota.  After a hiatus away from baking to be a stay at home parent, she started Sugar & Flour in her home kitchen.

George Herrera, Co-owner
George attended cooking school in Waco Texas. Working in hotel kitchens for 25+ years, he worked his way up from pantry cook to Executive Chef at several Hyatt Hotel properties.  Locations included Chicago,Texas, Buffalo, Florida, South Carolina and Georgia.

Upon leaving hotel work, he joined Karen to add the cafe to Sugar & Flour Bakery.
